I have been a tenant with Housingplus for the last five years, and have dealt directly with Amber for the last four. Dealing with Amber has been fantastic. Easily the best Property Manager experience I’ve had in my 15+ years as a tenant! The communications are always open, clear, friendly and fair, and Amber (and the team at Housingplus) have always been responsive to any queries that I have. At the time of writing this, I’ve happily just rolled over the tenancy for another year.

My flatmates and I have been residents in a Housingplus property managed by Amber Carr for the last year. During this time we have found her really responsive to any concerns/queries we have had. It is great to have such an open line of communication so we are constantly informed of everything that is going on.
As first time tenants we have found Housingplus to be ideal landlords as they have provided is with so much information – including the Tenant Information Evening which ensured everyone was aware of the best way to maintain their properties. (Quite a good idea especially with a lot of student tenants).

Housingplus has been very responsive to any maintenance requirements we have had throughout the year. The maintenance form on the website made this really quick and easy to do.

Overall we have had a really good experience with flatting with Housingplus, which have really been facilitated by an communicative and responsive Property Manager.

My partner and I were at a rental property with Housingplus for 3 years. We found Housingplus to be great property managers. The tenant area on the website was easy to use and maintenance requests were dealt with promptly. Amber worked with us directly and made us feel at home in our rental and every process of us arriving/leaving were made simple. It was sad for us to leave our Miramar home as we only left to be closer to work.

I will check with Amber/Housingplus first if we decide to rent again.

My partner and I have been in a property managed by Housingplus for three years now (we’re still current tenants too). Housingplus are speedy with answering queries and responding to / completing maintenance work around the house. Amber is very approachable, professional and great at keeping us informed on anything relevant to the property. Amber’s communication with us on matters such as property inspections, planned maintenance work around the house etc. is exceptional.

We’ve rented a few houses in Wellington, each through a different rental agency. I’ve found that Housingplus has been top with the basics, such as communication and customer service. Furthermore, the website has a good layout and it is easy to find information and I found the application process for the property straightforward and fair. We’d definitely look to stay with Housingplus as a landlord, if we were ever to move from the current property we’re in!

I have rented a Housing Plus managed apartment on Dixon Street in Wellington city since mid-November 2014.

From the first few streams of communication with the Housingplus’ s Property Manager Amber, I could tell that the company was presented by her extremely well.

Amber is friendly, professional and very helpful all while being easy to talk to, which I feel is key for a good relationship with a property manager. Her polite manner and active communication has not ceased in the near 3 years I have rented through Housingplus.

Amber’s great property management service and Housingplus’ s structure is ultimately what has made me choose to stay on at the same rental for multiple tenancies (and further, leading into 2018). They never hit you with unwanted surprises, and make renting easy by providing you with all of the information and help you may need, unlike some other property management companies in Wellington.

I learnt that Housingplus manages over 70 renting properties, and that Amber is the sole involved property manager for all. I never would have expected this, as her communication far exceeds previous property managers I have experienced who look after less properties. This has made everything so easy and straight forwards for myself and flat mates as we do not have to wait to hear back for days at a time when ever getting in contact.

Housingplus have a user-friendly website for tenants, where (if ever needed) we can submit a maintenance request, and will be contacted later that day or the next by one of the Housingplus maintenance team, who will then swiftly resolve the situation. With my previous property managers I would often be chasing up asking when things will get done, with Housingplus I have not had to worry.

Having a management company that provides a Tenant Information Night (with food and drinks) where we are invited along to discuss anything at hand/coming up is great. It is a good chance to discuss things along with other renters (in the same building) face to face which I have not heard of from any other management companies.

I feel a good relationship with the property manager is something that can make or break a really enjoyable renting experience.

With Amber and the rest of Housingplus team it is easy from the start and I have found that it really stands out from other property manager’s service, which is why I have continued to choose to rent under their representation.

2016 was my first-year flatting, and I can’t imagine a more welcoming and helpful property agent than Amber to make this experience a breeze. My 2 friends and I lived in a Housingplus flat for 10 months. From the application process to the in-tenancy service to the exit inspection, Amber was great. I particularly appreciated her prompt replies to emails, and the rapid rate at which our questions were addressed. She was approachable, understanding and professional. The tenant information night midway through the year was a helpful forum to receive tips for flat maintenance, particularly coming into winter, and the free pizza didn’t go amiss either! Our bond refund came through promptly after the exit inspection. Fantastic service!

My friends and I have been renting a property managed by Housingplus for the last 3 years and have found the quality of service to be exceptional. The team have always been very responsive and understanding to any concerns and queries that I have raised. As first-time renters moving into the property, we found some of the practical advice offered by Housingplus to be very helpful and in particular, the tenant information evening was a helpful forum to discuss these things.

I have personally found the Tenant Manager Amber Carr to be a pleasure to deal with. I have found her communication to be excellent, both because replies to my questions were always prompt and advice was offered on how to make the tenancy a more enjoyable experience through things like ventilation and information of how to deal with common issues that arise during flatting. We have had a very good experience with Amber and Housingplus so far and intend to continue our tenancy through next year and the foreseeable future.

I rented a flat from Housingplus with 7 other people in Wellington Central for three years, two of which I was the head tenant. Throughout our rental, Amber Carr was our property manager at Housingplus. Housingplus leads with its communication to tenants. They have a portal to lodge any maintenance requests, and we received a response within 24 hours from either property or maintenance manager, if not straight away!

Amber’s management style is pro-active and approachable, she plans ahead for occurrences such as preparing for an exit, preventing mould in winter months, and any changes of rental agreement.
When there were issues regarding maintenance of the property, Amber and the maintenance manager kept us informed with the progress and explained any delays. All periodic inspections were carried out fairly, professionally and were respectful of tenant’s privacy.

Housingplus has annual tenant information nights which clarify obligations for tenants, which is particularly important since tenants in our area are often students with little understanding of their rights and obligations.

When we were ready to leave the property, the exit inspection process was fair and reasonable and due to previous communication, we had an idea of what our costs would be ahead of time anyway. Amber was prompt with filing paperwork, despite it being a busy time for the agency, and we received our bond very quickly.

Couldn’t fault this company at all for their service, professionalism and staff. The process from start to finish was easy, their communication timely and were always willing to fix and issues and go the extra mile to help you out with any issues that arise during your tenancy. We were very sorry to have to leave our rental with Housingplus and would recommend renting with them and especially having them manage your investment properties.

I stayed in one of their properties for 3 years. I was very impressed with the overall quality (quality and cleanliness) of the property when I first moved in. The agency put in a lot of effort to maintain the property to the highest level. I was very pleased with the level of communication I had from the Property Manager too. There was never any miscommunication and the PM was very responsive to my emails and texts in a timely manner which doesn’t always happen with agencies :). I also found this property was much cheaper compared to other places (much smaller and poor condition) I saw on the market while looking for a new flat. The only reason I started looking was because I needed a bigger space and an outside private area. Overall, I never had any issues with this agency and I can definitely recommend them to any potential tenant.
